New York State Swim Commission

The New York State Swim Commission was formed to help run the New York State YMCA Swimming Championships. The members are elected by the coaches of the participating YMCAs. Each coach can be a member of the organization. If requested by a league or individual YMCA, the committee will help solve any problems that may occur. Each area of the state has a representative on the committee.

Dear Athletes, Coaches, and Meet Staff,

I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations and deepest appreciation to everyone who contributed to the incredible success of the New York State YMCA Swimming Championships this past weekend.

From the athletes who competed with passion and perseverance, to the coaches who guided them with dedication, and the meet staff who ensured everything ran smoothly—it was a true team effort. Your commitment to excellence and sportsmanship was on full display and truly inspiring.

This event was a shining example of the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. These values were evident in every race, every cheer, and every act of teamwork throughout the weekend.

A special thank you to Meet Director Christine Hughes, Administrative Official Paul Cary, and the entire Rochester YMCA for their outstanding leadership and hospitality. Your hard work and attention to detail made this event unforgettable.

Congratulations to all, and thank you again for making this such a memorable and meaningful championship.

With gratitude,
Tom Cohill
